Here is a quick update to the port town environment im working on. I still got some buildings to touch up then i can move on to the little market down by the docks then on to the dingy's.
This was a female model i built from scratch. I there are sculpting programs that give you default bodies to work with now but i just wanted to see if i could build one. I havent touched it in awhile so its still pretty early but ill go back finish the modeling and then take it to a sculpting program it will be good practice for me.
Here is one of many environment wips i have going on at the moment. In the more recent files ive taken out the ship and decided to do it as separate piece all together and i will probably replace it with a dingy (thats the little row boats on the side of large ships for those who didnt know)
Another scene i put together just trying to get more comfortable with the overall program maybe someday i can get this stuff to look real....guess Rome wasn't built in a day
Got back into working with Vue and put something together based off the new stuff i learned.

Here is a lighting practice i did at work. I still have a lot to learn about lighting but a few things are starting to stick. I'm reading a maya lighting book cover to cover hoping to gain as much as i can from it. C&C are always welcome. :)
Hello and welcome to my blog spot my name is LaMarvin but most people just call me Marvin. I'm 26 years old and a inspiring 3D artist/animator. I've always been intrigued with 3D animation but it was not until i seen Toy Story that i had realized i wanted to make it my profession. I attended Platt College in San Diego and graduated with an AA in Graphic Design and a BS in Multimedia. My goal now is to acquire a job in the industry either working for a game studio or film. Here are a few samples of my work and thanks for stopping by.
